First amateur amateur basic basic web page

We learnt the basics of web design today taught by Neil our tutor. We were taught about the different tags.

A tag is the text enclosed in these symbols <>. For example <open tag> </close tag>.

If you want to create a paragraph you would start by using an open paragraph tag e.g.

<p>and close it by using a close paragraph tag</P>

Its the same if you want to create a heading you would start by opening the heading by using one of these. <h1> and close it by one of these. </h1>

For a second heading you would use. <h2> and close </h2>

The codes to look at are dazzling at first but once explained it became clearer and you can see how you could elaborate on it to make a more interesting page.

We used Text edit on the mac to create this and are later going to learn how to use flash and other programs to create a web page.

Heres what I created with the knowledge I got from the lesson today.

One is basically a basic web page that is more basic than the first basic web page. So basic.

The second slightly stylised which I done once I learnt more about creating a web page. I used margins, links, images, different size and style fonts and i added colour.

I found it interesting to learn and am looking forward to creating a bit more of an advanced website.
